We are looking for a Real-World Research (RWR) Principal Business Operations Lead to drive operational excellence within our RWR Project Management Office (PMO).

This senior role is a stepping stone towards a director-level position and is ideal for professionals with strong leadership and project management expertise in clinical research.

Job Overview

The RWR Principal Business Operations Lead (PBOL) will be responsible for coordinating internal projects, ensuring operational consistency, and driving quality control across Parexel’s Real-World Research (RWR) services.

Key Responsibilities

1. RWR Business Operations

• Plan, execute, and oversee RWR internal projects and initiatives to align with organizational goals.

• Develop and implement PMO processes, policies, and tools for continuous improvement.

• Define and implement project management methodologies to streamline operations.

• Support operational functions in revising and developing controlled documents and managed information.

• Establish key metrics for monitoring RWR processes and performance.

2. Project Management

• Develop and manage project planning documents (Roles & Responsibilities, Project Plan, Communication Plan, Risk Analysis, Training Materials).

• Ensure timely and budget-compliant execution of internal projects and initiatives.

• Track and evaluate initiative ROI and performance metrics in collaboration with finance teams.

3. Risk Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with RWR projects.

• Implement proactive strategies to address operational challenges.

4. Team Leadership

• Lead cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Work with RWR PMO leadership to identify and address team performance gaps.

5. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

• Engage with key stakeholders, business partners, and operational teams to ensure project alignment.

• Lead team meetings and ensure continuous communication across functions.

• Build strong relationships with internal business units, legal teams, quality management, data privacy, and external vendors.

6. Quality Management & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with global regulations, SOPs, and data privacy standards.

• Support audit preparations and represent RWR in internal, sponsor, and regulatory audits.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (or related field).

• Minimum 3 years of global project management experience in clinical research.

• Extensive experience in Real-World Research (RWR), including interventional and observational studies.

• Strong knowledge of clinical operations strategy, trial execution, and compliance.

• Proven expertise in developing and implementing SOPs, business processes, and operational models.

• Knowledge of data security, patient privacy, and regulatory requirements in clinical research.

• Ability to build strong partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders.

• Familiarity with Real-World Data (RWD) sources (e.g., EMR, claims, registries) and study delivery processes.

• Advanced project management skills with expertise in process development tools.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and lead decentralized teams.
