About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Manager to lead, manage, and enhance the planning process across our Tanzanian market. This role acts as the face of Planning & Logistics and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our business delivers on both top-line and bottom-line performance.

The IBP Manager works closely with senior leaders across functions, ensuring that risks and opportunities are identified early, robust plans are developed, and business performance is continuously optimized.

You will also coordinate the monthly IBP cycle, facilitate cross-functional decision-making, and provide insight-driven recommendations that influence executive strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Integrated Business Planning process across Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, and Logistics.

  • Facilitate monthly IBP cycle meetings (PMR, DMR, SR, MBR) and ensure delivery of Diageo’s global standards.

  • Monitor business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend corrective actions.

  • Deliver accurate forecasts, robust demand and supply planning, and gap-closing initiatives.

  • Integrate business planning with Finance to ensure a single, unified plan.

  • Provide decision-making support to senior leaders through insights, dashboards, and reporting tools.

  • Drive continuous improvement in planning tools, methodologies, and processes (APO/OMP, Anaplan, BI tools).

  • Support category and market teams with scenario planning, risk assessment, and reconciliation processes.

  • Influence executive decision-making by presenting clear, actionable insights supported by data-driven analysis.

  • Champion change management and eliminate parallel processes to improve efficiency and agility.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in IBP, S&OP, Demand Planning, or related roles within FMCG/CPG.

  • Proven experience working with senior business leaders and driving cross-functional decision-making.

  • Practical expertise in demand analytics, forecasting, and supply chain planning.

  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of business performance drivers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.

  • Postgraduate qualifications (MBA/MSc in Supply Chain or similar) are highly desirable.

  • Hands-on experience with digital planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, BI dashboards) preferred.
