About the Opportunity

horizont3000 (h3), an Austrian NGO focused on sustainable development, invites experienced Gender Lighthouse Organizations (LHOs) to collaborate under its ADA Framework Programme (2023-2026). This initiative aims to strengthen gender equality across 15 partner organizations (POs) in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

•  Advance gender equality in East African communities
• Empower marginalized groups (women, youth, indigenous peoples)
• Transform organizations through gender mainstreaming

Scope of Work

The selected LHO will:
✅ Facilitate peer-learning forums (virtual) on gender-transformative approaches
✅ Conduct in-person trainings on GBV prevention & male engagement (Kampala/Arusha, July-August 2025)
✅ Mentor POs in developing gender equality policies
✅ Collaborate with h3’s know-how3000 (kh3000) team

Key Deliverables

• Training materials & session recordings
• Activity reports (post-evaluation & recommendations)
• Final synthesis report (December 2025)

Ideal Candidate Profile

✔ Proven experience in gender programming (East Africa)
✔ Expertise in:

• Gender policy development
• GBV prevention & male engagement
• Organizational gender mainstreaming
  ✔ Strong facilitation skills (virtual/in-person)
  ✔ Fluency in English & Kiswahili

Budget & Timeline

Duration: May–December 2025 (extendable to 2026)
Budget: Propose fees (hourly/daily rates) + expenses
