Available Positions & Required Qualifications

1. General Recruitment (Form Four & Form Six Graduates)

Eligibility: Open to young Tanzanians interested in joining law enforcement.
Description: Entry-level roles with professional training to contribute to public safety.

2. Degree Holders (Shahada – NTA Level 8)

Eligibility: University graduates in 111 specialized fields (see below).
Description: Advanced roles in technical, administrative, and operational functions.

Required Fields (Mainland Tanzania & Zanzibar):

• Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Marine, Software, Telecommunication)

• Medical Professions (Medical Doctor, Nursing, Pharmacy, Radiology, Physiotherapy)

• Law & Law Enforcement

• Computer Science, Cybersecurity & IT

• Media & Journalism (Mass Communication, Broadcasting, Video Production)

• Business & Finance (Accounting, Procurement, Tax Management)

• Other Specialties (Veterinary Medicine, Quantity Surveying, Sign Language, and more)

3. Diploma Holders (Stashahada – NTA Level 6)

Eligibility: Diploma holders in 34 specialized fields (see below).
Description: Mid-level technical & operational support roles.

Required Fields:

• Health & Medical (Clinical Medicine, Midwifery, Pharmaceutical Science)

• Technology & Engineering (Radar Operations, Sound Engineering, Auto Electrical Engineering)

• Security & Law Enforcement (Forensic Science, Wildlife Management, Marine Operations)

• Creative Arts & Media (Music, Graphic Design, Multimedia)

4. Certificate Holders (Astashahada – NTA Level 5 or NVA Level 3)

Eligibility: Certificate holders in 10 specialized fields (see below).
Description: Skilled technical positions to support police operations.

Required Fields:

• Technical Professions (Auto Body Repair, Carpentry, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning)

• Marine & Aviation (Boat Painting, Aviation Safety & Quality Management)

Eligibility Criteria

✅ Tanzanian citizen by birth (both parents must be Tanzanians by birth).
✅ Age Requirements:

• Form Four & Six graduates: 18–25 years

• Certificate holders: 18–25 years

• Degree & Diploma holders: 18–30 years
  ✅ Height:

• Men: At least 5’8” (173cm)

• Women: At least 5’4” (160cm)
  ✅ National ID or NIDA number required.
  ✅ Fluent in Kiswahili & English.
  ✅ Physically & mentally fit, certified by a government doctor.
  ✅ No criminal record, drug use, or tattoos.
  ✅ Willing to attend police training and be deployed anywhere in Tanzania.
  ✅ Unmarried & without children.
  ✅ No prior employment in a government institution.
