Brief Description

The International AIDS Society (IAS) is pleased to announce the IAS 2025 Scholarship Program, which provides financial support for individuals to attend the 13th IAS Conference on HIV Science. This initiative promotes inclusion and accessibility, prioritizing applicants from low-income countries, key populations, and young professionals.

Scholarship Value/Duration

For In-Person Attendance:

• Full conference registration with access to all sessions, exhibitions, and pre-conference events
• On-demand access to session recordings, e-posters, and satellite content until 19 August 2025
• Economy-class return airfare from the nearest international airport
• Single-room accommodation in a budget hotel during the conference
• Daily living allowance (some provided as lunch vouchers at the venue)

For Virtual Attendance:

• On-demand access to session recordings, e-posters, and satellite content until 19 August 2025

Additional Benefits:

• Two years of paid IAS membership for all scholarship recipients

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the IAS 2025 Scholarship Program, applicants must:

• Be at least 18 years old by 13 July 2025.
• Work, volunteer, or study in the field of HIV.
• Belong to one of the following priority groups:
  • Abstract presenters whose submissions are selected for the conference.
  • Individuals from low-income or lower-middle-income countries.
  • Members of key populations or people living with HIV.
  • Young people or early-career investigators under 35 years of age.
  • Applicants who have not previously received a scholarship for an IAS conference.

Application Instructions

Applicants must:

1. Create or log in to their IAS conference account on the official website.
2. Submit the application by 22 January 2025, including details on:
   • Preferred attendance type (in-person or virtual)
   • Types of financial support required

The review and selection process will take place in February and March 2025. Results will be announced in early April 2025.
