Key Responsibilities

As an HBB (Home Broadband) Regional Sales Lead – Retail, you will be responsible for spearheading Airtel’s broadband retail operations in either Dodoma or Dar es Salaam. The role involves:

  1. Regional Sales Management

    • Drive and monitor regional sales strategies for broadband services.

    • Ensure monthly and quarterly sales targets are met or exceeded.

    • Supervise and manage field sales agents and retail partners.

  2. Retail Channel Execution

    • Strengthen and expand retail sales channels within the region.

    • Implement in-store promotional activities and customer experience initiatives.

    • Evaluate the performance of stores and sales outlets.

  3. Market Penetration

    • Identify new opportunities for broadband service expansion.

    • Conduct market intelligence to understand competition and customer behavior.

    • Develop territory-specific sales strategies based on local insights.

  4. Reporting and Analytics

    • Track and report sales KPIs for management review.

    • Analyze regional performance to improve productivity and revenue.

    • Coordinate with the marketing team to launch local campaigns.

  5. Team Leadership

    • Recruit, train, and lead regional sales teams.

    • Motivate field staff to deliver high-impact results.

    • Foster a high-performance, customer-first culture.

Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail sales or telecom sales roles.

  • Demonstrated success in leading regional or zonal sales teams.

  • Knowledge of broadband technologies and retail distribution models.

  • Experience working in fast-paced, target-driven environments.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making abilities.

  • Ability to influence and negotiate at different stakeholder levels.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and problem-solving attitude.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Work Locations

There are two vacancies, each covering one of the following regions:

  • Dodoma Region – Central zone operations

  • Dar es Salaam Region – Coastal zone operations

Candidates must be willing to work on-site and travel within their assigned region as needed.
