Job Description:

The Product Manager for agricultural retail Products is responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of agricultural retail products at NMB Bank. This role involves developing innovative products, improving existing offerings, and working closely with internal teams to ensure product competitiveness. The goal is to enhance the bank’s agricultural product portfolio, drive financial inclusion, and meet the financial needs of agricultural communities.

Key Responsibilities:

Improve, develop, and manage a comprehensive Agri Retail Products portfolio.
Innovate and revamp existing Agri products, managing their lifecycle with clear KPIs.
Develop a profitable portfolio mix focusing on fee income and interest expense management.
Collaborate with financial inclusion partners to address the challenges of rural and urban financial services.
Develop marketing and communication strategies for new product launches and re-launches.
Contribute to digitizing the cash ecosystem with products that solve customer financial challenges.
Accelerate customer onboarding and promote product usage through improved processes.
Monitor market trends and offer strategic insights to gain a competitive advantage in agri-retail products.
Raise awareness about NMB’s Agri products and services.
Implement an efficient product portfolio management information system and ensure accurate reporting.
Manage relationships with business partners to drive product innovation and financial inclusion.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards for Agri products and services.
Conduct feasibility studies, including pre-research, performance monitoring, and post-analysis.
Work with cross-functional teams to manage product risks effectively.
Propose system enhancements based on customer feedback and market needs.
Develop training models for branches, sales teams, and customer experience teams.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Banking, Agribusiness, Marketing, or a related field.
A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
A minimum of 5 years experience in the banking industry, preferably in product management or development.
Strong understanding of the Agri-business ecosystem and consumer buying behavior.
Excellent product development, communication, and organizational skills.

Requirements:

In-depth knowledge of product development and lifecycle management.
Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Ability to innovate and adapt products to meet customer needs and market demands.
Strong skills in strategic planning, risk management, and reporting.
